A flokati rug is a 100% handmade wool rug. Flokati rugs originate from Greece and date back to 5th century. Each flokati rug is placed in water from the Pindos River for about 40 hours. As a result of the water pressure the pile swells and the rug becomes thicker. Finally, the flokati rugs are hung to dry naturally.
